Keynote Bio: Tiffany Stergar is currently the Assistant Director of Advising Professional Development at Purdue University, West Lafayette Campus. In her current role, she oversees the development and implementation of professional development and training for an advising community of approximately 260 advisors between 2 different campus locations. From 2021-2024, she served the Purdue Academic Advising Association (PACADA) as Vice-chair, Chair, and Outgoing Chair. She was the recipient of a certificate of merit from NACADA in 2023 for Outstanding Advising Award, Academic Advisor: Primary Role. Tiffany is currently on the Region 5 Conference Planning Committee and serving as a Region 5 mentor. Prior to her current position, Tiffany has worked in advising roles in Nuclear Engineering and Consumer Science at Purdue, development at Butler University, adjunct faculty at IUPUI and IUPUC, and a faculty member at a for-profit institution. Both bachelor’s and master’s degrees were awarded in Sociology from Purdue University (BA) and Indiana University Indianapolis (MA).
