IUBAAC sponsors a yearly program designed to provide national-caliber professional development opportunities to IU professional academic advisors, at no cost to the advisors. The selection of which professional development events to attend for credit toward the certificate is up to each individual advising professional.
This certificate must be completed over the span of a single academic year and may be earned annually.
In order to earn this certificate, advisors must complete all of the following:
- Attend either the IUBAAC Fall Meeting or Spring Conference during the academic year that you will complete the certificate.
- Attend at least two additional IUBAAC PDC monthly events. If you attended both the Fall Meeting and Spring Conference, you may utilize one of those as an event here. If you attended an event to fulfill one of the other Level 1, 2, or 3 requirements, you may also utilize that here.
- Attend at least two additional IUBAAC PDC events or approved outside professional development events.
Advisors will submit their events for the Yearly Professional Development Certificate or for any other Professional Development Certificate through the Canvas page.
