Anna Zimmerman
New Advisor: Health Professions and Prelaw Advising
Background:
I am a born and raised Hoosier, hailing from Evansville, IN. I received my BA in Political Science and Spanish from IUB in 2017. While in undergrad, I studied abroad in Barcelona, Spain and was co-president of the Political Science Club. I received my JD from IU McKinney School of Law in 2020. During law school, I clerked at various non-profits in Indianapolis providing pro bono legal representation in immigration matters. I was also a student note candidate and articles editor for the Indiana International and Comparative Law Journal. After law school, I continued my work in advocacy in humanitarian immigration law, specializing in removal defense and brief writing.
Draw to HPPLA student population:
As an undergrad student at IUB, I worked with HPPLA advisors to successfully apply and enroll in law school. I am so excited to be giving back to the educational community where I flourished and grew in so many ways. I look forward to helping students explore their options in the health and legal professions.
Hobby/Fun Fact:
Music has always been a top hobby for me! I was classically trained in voice. In my free time, I love curating playlists and deep diving on Spotify.
